Why Is Your GoWise Air Fryer Stopped Working/Why Is Your GoWise Air Fryer Not Working & How To Fix?

Your GoWise air fryer can stop working for several causes. The most common causes for your GoWise air fryer to stop working are power supply issues, a damaged power cord, a faulty control panel, faulty power buttons, a damaged motor, overheating, overloading, and fuse issues.

Also, your GoWise air fryer can stop working because of a faulty heating element, oil or debris buildup, faulty wiring, lid or door issues, timer issues, thermostat issues, internal issues, and more.

Let’s see all the possible causes and their solutions in detail:

1. Check if there is an issue with the power supply to the air fryer:

Power supply issues can be the first cause of your GoWise air fryer stopping working. So check if there is any power supply issue with your air fryer. If there is a power supply issue with the air fryer, then follow these three tips.

First, check the power outlet/power source where you have plugged your air fryer. By checking the power outlet, ensure it is in good condition, working well, and also it is not overloaded with other devices. 

Second, check the power cord (charger) of your air fryer and ensure it is okay, is in good condition, and is supplying sufficient power to the air fryer from the power outlet properly.

Third, check the power cord connection with both the air fryer and power outlet. Ensure the power cord is properly connected to both the air fryer and the power outlet. If required, connect the power cord with the air fryer and power outlet again to ensure more secure connection of the power cord with the air fryer and power outlet.

Fourth, if you cannot check if there is any power supply issue to the air fryer by yourself, then get an expert electrician’s help.

2. Check if the air fryer is overheated:

Almost all electric devices become overheated when they are used for an extended period continuously. Your GoWise air fryer is also an electric device. If you use your GoWise air fryer for an extended period continuously, then it will overheat and stop working for safety purposes.

Touch your air fryer with your hands carefully (it will be better to touch the air fryer with a gloved hand) to check if your GoWise air fryer is overheated. If your GoWise air fryer becomes overheated, then let it cool down completely. The air fryer may take 15-20 minutes to cool down completely. When the air fryer will completely cool down, try to use it again. 

3. Check if the air fryer buttons or its control panel components are faulty:

An air fryer’s buttons or its control panel components maintain all its functions. If any of the buttons of an air fryer or any of the components of the air fryer becomes faulty, then that air fryer starts to malfunction, like not working, not turning on, not heating, etc. Like any other brand of air fryer,  if your GoWise air fryer buttons or its control panel components have become faulty, then your GoWise air fryer will stop working.

Checking your air fryer buttons or its control panel components by yourself can be difficult or may not be possible. So, to check your GoWise air fryer buttons or its control panel components, take your air fryer to the nearest electric appliance repair shop and repair the faulty button or control panel’s components.

4. Check if the heating element is faulty:

The heating element is an important part of an air fryer. If it is faulty or damaged, then the air fryer will not heat food. If your GoWise air fryer heating element becomes faulty, then your air fryer will also not heat food properly or stop heating food completely.

Check if your GoWise air fryer heating element is faulty and ensure it is not faulty. If the heating element becomes faulty or damaged, replace it with a new one. You may find the replacement heating element for your GoWise air fryer in the online marketplaces. If you cannot examine the heating element, then take your air fryer to an expert. 

5. Oil or Debris Buildup:

Oil or debris buildup in the heating element or its fan can also be a cause of your GoWise air fryer stopping working. Due to continuous use and not cleaning the air fryer parts regularly, oil or debris can accumulate on the heating element and its fan, which prevents your air fryer’s heating element or its fan from working.

Open your air fryer, check its heating element, and see if there is an accumulation of oil or debris on the heating element or fan. If there is an accumulation of oil or debris on the heating element or fan, then clean them properly. If required, read your GoWise air fryer user manual to clean your air fryer properly.

6. Check if the internal wiring is okay:

If your GoWise air fryer internal wiring becomes disconnected, loose, or burned, then it can be stopped working. Open your air fryer and check if the internal wiring of your GoWise air fryer is okay. If the wiring is disconnected, then connect them properly. If the internal wiring becomes loose, then tighten them properly. If the internal wiring becomes damaged or burned, then replace them with new wires.

Note:

Probably, checking the internal wiring of your air fryer can be challenging for you if you are not experienced in electronic mechanisms. So, I recommend you take your air fryer to an expert electrician to check the internal wiring. 7. Door or lid issues:

If you don’t close the lid or door of your GoWise air fryer appropriately, then your air fryer will not be working properly, even if it will not turn on. So check your GoWise air fryer door or lid and ensure that the lid or door is closed properly.

8. Check if the thermal fuse is tripped or blown:

Your GoWise air fryer has a thermal fuse, and it is an important part of your GoWise air fryer, which has a great impact on the performance of the air fryer. If the thermal fuse of your GoWise air fryer is tripped or the thermal fuse becomes blown, then your GoWise air fryer will start malfunctioning, like stopping working, not turning on, not heating food, overheating, and more.

Check the thermal fuse of your GoWise air fryer and ensure it is not tripped or blown. If the thermal fuse is tripped, then let your air fryer cool down completely and then attempt to use it. If the thermal fuse becomes blown, then replace it with a new thermal fuse. Keep in mind that a blown thermal fuse cannot be switched back on. 9. Timer/thermostat issues:

If there are timer/thermostat issues, then your GoWise air fryer can stop operating. First, check the timer settings and set the time according to the manufacturer’s recommendation for specific food. If the timer button/timer knob is not working, then fix it immediately by taking the necessary steps. 

Second, checking the thermostat may not be possible for you if you don’t have any previous experience. So, take your air fryer to an experienced technician and check the thermostat. If the thermostat becomes useless or defective, then replace or repair it.

10. Cooking basket sensor issues:

If there is an issue with the cooking basket sensor, then the sensor may fail to detect the cooking basket of your air fryer, resulting in your GoWise air fryer malfunctioning.  

Check for any obstructions or damage around the cooking basket area. Remove any obstruction or damage around the cooking basket area if there is. Contact customer support if needed.

11. Check if the motor is burned or damaged:

If your air fryer is too old or you use it with the wrong power voltage, then its motor can be overheated, damaged, and even burned. If the motor becomes damaged or burned, then the air fryer will not work anymore.

Check your GoWise air fryer motor and ensure it is okay. If the motor becomes damaged or burned, replace it immediately to get your air fryer back to work again. If checking and replacing the motor is not possible for you, then take an expert’s help.

12. Check if there are any internal issues:

If your GoWise air fryer has any internal issues, then it will stop working. Open your air fryer and check if there are any internal issues like malfunctioning parts, faulty wiring, loose connections between the parts, faulty fans, and more inside the air fryer. If there are any internal issues inside the air fryer, then take the necessary steps to fix the issues.
