Breville kettle not switching on : Nearly always with these base plate kettles it is the contact in the base plate that is the problem. Twiddle a small rolled up piece of fine sandpaper in the small contact hole round and round a few times and blow out any dust etc. Usually takes only a minute. Many thousands of these kettles are thrown out every year unnecessarily.

They will have the necessary expertise and tools to safely diagnose and fix the issue. Additionally, they can replace the sensor with a compatible one to ensure the kettle operates correctly.
